David Hoffmeister's ACIM Blog: Let Go and Let God

"Hello Beloved One,
I am so grateful you opened up and shared what is on your mind. That is always a big first step in forgiveness and inner healing. To open and share with a brother is a symbol of your willingness to hide nothing from the Holy Spirit. Progress in meditation and peace of mind and inner fulfillment can seem slow and frustrating and difficult. This is always a call to go deeper within. There is a tremendous fear of looking within, for the ego has convinced the sleeping mind that God will punish those that have "left" Heaven. The ego's world is filled with distractions and fantasy goals to offer many substitutes and diversions from the "dreaded" looking within."

Denial and Suppression, David Hoffmeister, ACIM, England 2013

David Hoffmeister's Movie Blog:“X-Men: Days of Future Past"

"The Quantum movie, X-Men: Days of Future Past, illustrates a spiritual journey that involves going back in time. The Purpose of the journey is to find the core grievance and let it be healed. When the grievance is healed in Forgiveness, all future scenarios of conflict and destruction are also healed. It is not that they have been prevented in time; it is that we have come to the realization that there was no time in which they could have existed. In the Happy Dream, everything is resolved. It becomes harmonious and then disappears."

David Hoffmeister's Movie Blog: Double Bill, "The Holiday" and "Love Actually"

“Watching movies is a way of stepping back and remembering that what we see on the screen is not real. In fact, life itself is a big projection. What we see is not real but rather the out-picturing of our mind. Oh, but it is so easy to forget that! Watching movies in purpose is a way of remembering our true self.”

David Hoffmeister's ACIM Blog: Do I Have to Let Go of Friendship on the Spiritual Path?

"Many of your close friends will not understand the direction the Spirit is leading you in. Using the metaphor of a deck of cards, as you let the Spirit "deal," the witnesses that show up in your experience will reflect your new purpose. You will seem to be a wayshower to those who cling to the thinking of the world."

David Hoffmeister's Movie Blog: SimOne

"This movie exposes the construct of personhood, the lie that masquerades as "life" in and of the body. The star of the dream is the hero of the dream, the body, the person. This is the story of the ego and the temptation to make and uphold a false construct for personal recognition."

David Hoffmeister's Movie Blog: City of Angels

"Nothing in this world will satisfy you. When we forget this and pursue things in the world, the result is always the same. There can seem to be temporary satisfaction, but the end result is always pain, guilt, and death. This world is not your home and so it can never give you what you want deep in your heart."
