David Hoffmeister's Movie Blog: Resurrection in Christ, “The Greatest Story Ever Told”

"From the foretold prophecy of the Messiah and the Savior, to the walking demonstration of divine love, to the extreme example of defenselessness and unbroken communion with God (Crucifixion; Resurrection; Ascension) this account is well-titled. Jesus demonstrated the potential of everyone, and much more. Jesus is a symbol of an awakened mind that remembers, 'I and the Father are One'. He was called 'Master' by his apostles, and rightfully so. For Jesus demonstrated that Spirit has dominion over the world of images and realized, 'My Kingdom is not of this world.' He showed that it is not only possible to, 'Be ye perfect as the Father in Heaven is perfect,' it is inevitable."

Undoing Ego Deception: Exposing Guilt and Stepping into Integrity

"It is possible to desire, believe, think, feel, perceive, and act with consistency by following the Holy Spirit and ONLY by following the Holy Spirit. Another name for the ego is deception, and when deception is believed in the illusion of guilt seems very real indeed. Affirmations and mantras and well-wishing can never become substitutes for looking within and exposing the belief system of the ego. Pockets of guilt must be exposed and voluntarily given to the Holy Spirit, and as this occurs it becomes apparent that the guilt was never real."

David Hoffmeister's ACIM Blog:Dealing with Pockets of Guilt and Finding our Way Back Home

"Your desire to find your way Home is a powerful force and this is pushing all the attack thoughts into awareness. You can relax, there is no need to feel like it is an obsession, since you are giving your mind permission to let the beliefs and thoughts surface."

David Hoffmeister's Movie Blog: 3 Great Movies for Undoing Jealousy in Relationship

"Ego thinking upholds belief in separation by seeing victimization, competition, bodies, and all that comprises the self concept as real. You identify with the body self, the hero of the dream, and believe that you (subject) have a separate, private mind.

You believe that each other person (object) also has a separate mind and can cause things to happen to you. This is spurious (false) since cause is only in your mind."

David Hoffmeister's ACIM Blog: There Are No Accidents, Nothing Is Random. Surrender Control and Be at Peace in the Present Moment

"Awakening is simply the clear awareness that State of Mind (Peace, Happiness, Freedom, Joy) is true Self Responsibility and the belief (ego) that seemed to make the cosmos has had no effect on Reality (Truth of Spirit). To live in the Present is to 'Be,' free of the illusory limits of time-space."

David Hoffmeister's Movie Blog: Undoing the Belief in Victims and Victimizers through Spiritual Movies ~ “Whiplash” and the Teacher/Student Relationship

"This movie is a mind watcher for healing the belief in victims and victimizers. In truth, they are the same. Both are illusions, neither right nor wrong, good or bad. Andrew is a drummer who believes being the “best” will make him happy. Terence is perceived as an abusive teacher who is an intense reflection of Andrew’s doubt thoughts about his drumming talent, and becomes Andrew’s scapegoat for why he will not 'be the best'.
It is the perfect teaching/learning situation as Andrew lets go of the desire for recognition as the best drummer, his passion for drumming returns as a connection to Spirit and a love of collaboration. Terence also provides Andrew with opportunities for forgiveness of perceived 'wrongdoings'; coming to see the truth that Terence was there all along in support of him stepping into his magnitude. There are no victims and no victimizers in Truth."

David Hoffmeister's ACIM Blog: Fear and Control in Relationship. It’s Time to Stop People Pleasing

"The more the ego is exposed and raised into awareness the less it is likely to be believed. Relationships which involve dependency, demands, and expectations are witnesses to the ego. Our shared Purpose will show that the ego is not real and that you are not the ego. One way the ego seems to maintain guilt is through people pleasing or looking for external agreement. This defense seems to smooth out the rough edges of a 'relationship' between persons, though it actually keeps a lid on the guilt underneath and serves to hide and protect it."

David Hoffmeister's Movie Blog: The Script is Written! Time is Simultaneous, Undo the Belief in Linear Time With Movies “Gone with the Wind” and “The Secret”

"The Course is leading you to what Jesus calls a purified form (T-5.V.7.) or a purified version of the past, which is the forgiven world. This is the same as letting go of all the meaning that the ego has written upon the world. The Holy Spirit will bless it. He says, '...think of yourself as completely at peace with everyone and everything, safe in a world that protects you and loves you, and that you love in return.'( W-68.6) This is a whole different way of looking at the world."

David Hoffmeister's ACIM Blog: Body Thoughts, Wrong Mind and Right Mind ~ Dealing with Form and Illusion

"A Course in Miracles simplifies the approach to Atonement (Correction) and the remembering of Oneness by using the metaphor of two levels: Right-mindedness, which is the Perspective of the Holy Spirit, and wrong-mindedness, which is the perspective of the ego. Right-mindedness recognizes that only mind is causative and sees that the cosmos is an unreal effect of an unreal cause (belief in the ego)."
